This event is geared for New and Novice upland bird hunters.

This learn-by-doing event will start off with a review of safety procedures lead by Ohio Hunter Education Instructors and NRA certified Range Safety Officer(s) and Shotgun Instructor(s).

Participants will then enjoy some live fire clay target shooting and instruction before heading to the field.

Each participant will be accompanied afield by an experienced non-hunting coach and have an opportunity to harvest 2 pheasants.

Hunting will be done over trained dogs with dedicated handlers.

After the harvest, proper field dressing and cleaning will be demonstrated.

The day will end with favorite wild game recipes being shared.
